A message to the future

Some messages deserve the right moment.

Seal a letter, photo or document into one encrypted file. The chosen date and password are both required to open it. No Untilum account is needed.

Web, Windows, Android and iOS testing builds are available. Keep control of your file and password.

What would you leave for later?

Untilum is for the things whose meaning comes from waiting—not from another cloud account.

For your future self

A letter about who you are today, opened on a date that matters.

For someone you love

Photos, a voice note or a story for a future birthday or anniversary.

For the next keeper

A family memory or document that should be revealed later—not forgotten in an inbox.

Why it is different

A file you own, not an account you depend on

Most services keep your memory inside their system. Untilum gives you the capsule itself: a portable UDDP file.

01

A file, not an account

Save it in Documents, copy it to a drive, or give an encrypted copy to family. The capsule is not a database record inside Untilum.

02

Time and password

Knowing the password is not enough before the date. After the date, the password is still required.

03

More than one home

Keep identical encrypted copies in independent places. One intact copy is enough to open later.

Three simple steps

Create it now. Let time decide when it opens.

  1. 1

    Choose

Select a file, an opening date and a password. Use a password the future recipient can safely receive.

  2. 2

    Seal

Encryption happens on your device. Untilum does not need your open file or password.

  3. 3

    Keep and open

Save at least two copies. Once the date arrives, verify the capsule and open it locally with the password.

If Untilum disappears

The message should not disappear with the messenger.

The UDDP container includes the encrypted capsule, opening instructions and public format documents. It is designed so a compatible opener can be rebuilt without permission from Untilum.

The keeper may disappear. The message should remain.

This is a design goal, not a promise that a file will survive without care. You must preserve at least one intact copy and the password.

Why Untilum exists

It began with a letter that could no longer be found.

A last letter remained somewhere in a home lost to war. Untilum began with a simple conviction: important words should not remain forever in a place their recipient can no longer reach.

The current applications are free to test. A future managed-preservation service is planned as a one-time purchase—not a subscription—and will only be sold when its storage and checking work is actually available.

Start with a test file and a short date. Learn where the UDDP file is saved, then create the message that matters.
